Primary Qualifications & Expectations:
Primary Role: Essential to the Big Brothers Big Sisters brand - the primary functions of this position are to ensure that all children and volunteers are appropriately engaged through recruitment, enrollment, matching and match support to ensure child safety, positive outcomes for youth utilizing and working within the BBBS mentoring model, standards of practice and service delivery. Through establishing constructive and satisfying mentoring relationships between children and volunteers, a high level of judgment, professionalism and customer service is expected to promote a strong sense of affiliation to agency.
Bachelors' degree in social work, human services, psychology, sociology or related field required
Work Experience: Assessment and relationship development experience with child/youth and adult populations; including an understanding of child development and family dynamics. Demonstrates experience and cultural sensitivity in working with diverse populations. Knowledge of volunteer service motivation and satisfaction through past volunteer service and/or internships helpful.
Position Salary: $16.00/hr.; 17.5 Hours per week
